Part 10 of 10 in the series, “How do I launch a business while on my burnout recovery journey?”

It may seem crazy to launch a business after going through burnout. Where does all the energy come from? How do you manage the stress? How do you keep going? This is post #10 of a 10-part series.

As a burnout survivor in recovery, I have realized that I need to share my experience with others so they may learn from it. It’s a part of my own recovery.

I needed a lot of help to get to where I can say I’ve moved through my healing journey and I’m in recovery.

I needed help to learn what had knocked me down so low, and more help to start to recover. I didn’t always know where to turn, and didn’t know who could help me. Thankfully, I had friends and professionals who were there for me and did know what I needed.

Now that I’m on this side of that doorway, I know that helping others through is part of my new path. I’ve walked the path of burnout and know how hard it is. I’ve had setbacks that I’ve had to work my way through. I’ve learned so much about things I never even thought about pre-burnout. Things like:

  • how we are conditioned from childhood to ignore what our body needs,
  • or how we think that we can or must do everything ourselves,
  • or we think that we have to control things that we simply can NOT control,

even though these are all surefire ways to complete burnout!

I still have work to do, and I’m still learning to stay out of old, harmful mindsets. One of the best things to help me with this work is to help others. What I’ve learned more than anything else is how much we need community when we need to heal. We need to talk through what’s been bothering us, find new solutions that we may not have thought of ourselves, and discuss how things are working, and how to adjust if they aren’t.

In short, we need to share. That’s why the dandelion is my logo. We grow, we blossom, then we share what we know with others. As we continue on our own journey, we help others along the way.

In order to continue to be able to help others, I have some new things I’m working on for my coaching business. I’ll be announcing more soon.

It’s all part of being a lifelong learner and staying in recovery from burnout.
