Announcing my new community!

If you're a regular reader here, you know that this Substack has been about my journey through recovering from burnout.

Part of my healing and recovery from burnout has been learning about many of the things that impacted me:

  • My lack of self-awareness

  • My lack of boundaries

  • My lack of alignment with my core values

  • My lack of any awareness around what those core values were

  • My lack of any coping skills to manage all the stress I was under

Not only has it been learning about what impacted me, but also how to curb or curtail those tendencies and behaviors so that I can stay out of future burnout, because, yes, it can happen over and over again if we don't change our behaviors.

I'm still learning, but now part of my healing is to share this knowledge with others that may need help. When you go through a difficult and challenging time in your life, having someone who has been there and can walk that path with you is an important part of healing. Validating the feelings and experiences, sharing tools that helped, even when it sounded "too simple" or "woo-woo" at first, helps us understand what happened and that we’re not alone. Plus, when you are in service to others, that is a huge boost for yourself as well, in knowledge as well as in compassion and gratitude.

I have taken all this knowledge and built out a course and a private online community for people who are ready to recover their confidence and sparkle after burnout. I help people learn about tools and techniques that can help keep them keep calm when the flames of burnout start to rise up again, as they tend to do.

I created a private community because social media groups, even if they're "private" are not really all that private. When you're in a toxic work environment, it can be hard to know where you can talk safely. If you can't trust your "private" group on Facebook, then you can't really get the most value out of it.

I built what I wished I had nearly 3 years ago when I was in the midst of crashing and burning my way to ground zero. It has been over a year in the works, first drafting everything, then beta testing, then refining. Now, I'm so happy to be able to share it with the world!

This is the only post I will do that is exclusively talking about my new community. I realize that my following here is mostly interested in my journey and my experiences, not to hear about a sales pitch. I share this with you all because this is a part of my healing journey. If you or anyone you know is currently going through burnout and looking for help in healing, please let them know about Dandelion Fields.

And who knows, while it's only online right now, if this thing gets big enough, I think running through a real dandelion field would be a great way to connect with everyone!
